This round-up focuses on clean, distinctive and those easy-to-read free fonts that designers always crave – fonts for beautiful headlines and titles. Whether you use these them on the web or in print, these are the types (pun intended) of legible fonts you will need to give your typography the professional impact yours readers or users demand.
All 65 of the fonts have been confirmed to be free to use on either personal or commercial projects, but please do check the licenses just in case they do change, it can happen from time to time.
Creative Market shop owner Ian Barnard (Vintage Design Co.) is one of my favorite hand lettering artists. His website is overflowing with beautiful examples of lettering work. Recently though, he posted a quick video tip to Twitter that was simply too good not to share.
Most people wouldn’t look at a carpenter’s pencil and see it as a tool for creating beautiful works of art, but in the right hands, it can do exactly that! See how in the quick video below.
Designers can never ever have enough fonts in their toolbox, and hand-drawn fonts are the perfect choice if you want to add a little charm and personal touch to your work. With appropriate and well thought-out use of white space, hand-drawn fonts can give your designs some added style and elegance.
In this collection, we would like to present 20 of our favorite handwritten fonts. We’re sure you will love them!
All of these fonts are free, but please do double-check the license before using them as from time-to-time they do change.
When you’re a parent, one of the struggles you face is trying to find a way to get all of the years of knowledge that you have crammed away in your dome out of your head and into your child’s melon. But between work, school, and everything in between, sometimes it can be easy to let things slip through the cracks — not intentionally, but it happens.
Designer José Bernabé decided that he wanted to impart his knowledge to his son by way of these beautiful posters. He’s created a series of them entitled, “Quotes For My Son Raúl,” and each one is both unique and gorgeous in their own way.
If you’re going to teach your kid something, you might as well do it in style. Right?
So I have two dogs. One is old and fat, the other is old and … not quite as fat, I suppose. The other day, I put them into the tub to give them baths, which resulted in me getting soaked and my dogs being clean for all of thirty minutes, until they ran outside and rolled around in the dirt. I love my dogs.
Which is why when I found this story on the web I just knew I had to tell someone about it. Canismo is, as they put it, “… an artistic movement created by a group of dogs that aims to help with the support and adoption of sheltered animals.” Basically, someone puts non-toxic paint onto the fur of these dogs, making them wet in the process. The dogs want to shake off the paint, so they do, applying the paint to the surrounding canvases. 18 of these paintings are going up for sale soon, but, assuming you’re not in São Paulo, you can also donate to Canismo today.
Man, I wish my dogs were this talented.
And now, the art:
But Why?
So why the heck are they pouring paint over these poor dogs? It turns out the answer is to get them adopted. Each “artist” is a shelter pet that is up for adoption. According to the project’s site, “The combination of different colours in the paintings shows the mixture of breeds, as random and as beautiful as each mongrel dog.” Visit the website to adopt one today.

We all love a well-designed poster, and an inspirational one with a quote from someone famous always makes it better. The beauties on this page were created by Tang Yau Hoong, an artist, illustrator, and graphic designer who lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Each of these prints are made using high quality products, and are built to be “museum quality,” meaning that they’ll stand the test of time. Oh, and they’re pretty affordable, with most being around . Enjoy!
