Nepal is an amazing place. It’s home to hundreds of years of history, is one of the entry points to Mt. Everest, and it’s known as a spiritial center for people from all over the world. And then, things changed.
A 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit the region on Saturday, devastating the area. Over 3,300 people have been counted as dead so far, and those numbers are likely to climb even higher as the cleanup continues. People attempting to ascend Mt. Everest were also affected, and monuments that stood for decades are gone, destroyed forever. People in Nepal need help, and they need it now.
Not everyone can just hop on a plane and start assisting in the cleanup, and the design community has stepped up to lend a helping hand. By creating art that raises awareness about the situation, plus donating their services (and money) to charities, they’re doing their part.
We’ve included some images of the devastation below, as well as just some of the artwork that these amazing designers have created. Links to various charities are included as well. If you have the ability to help, the people of Nepal would definitely appreciate it.
