Wibbly-Wobbly, Timey-Whimey Doctor Who Sketches

If you think all screwdrivers should be sonic and know what the letters in TARDIS stand for, then you must be a fellow fan of The Doctor. For today’s inspirational project, we’ve chosen Corbyn S. Kern’s brilliant Doctor Who sketches.

The Doctor

I really love the mixture of styles represented in Corbyn’s sketches. The face of each character is wonderfully detailed and somehow blends perfectly with the rough (or perhaps wibbly-wobbly?), low-fidelity outlines.

Companions

The various Doctors wouldn’t be complete without their traveling companions, and Corbyn has taken the time to render these characters as well. The dramatic, airy sketch of Clara is particularly great.

“Who” is Your Favorite?

Now that we’ve seen some fantastic Doctor Who artwork, it’s time to argue over our favorite characters. In terms of Doctors, I’m a huge fan of #10 (Tennant) with #11 (Smith) at a very close second. For companions, I think Amelia Pond is the best, despite my wife’s insistence that this prize goes to Donna (seriously, who picks Donna?).

What do you think? Who is the best Doctor and/or companion and why? Make your argument below!
