You Can Now Reply to Texts With Disney and Star Wars GIFs

With iOS 8 came the ability to use custom keyboards, and for the most part, the response has been fairly underwhelming. I mean sure, we’ve got the Swift keyboard now like our Android buddies do, but that hasn’t done much for me personally. What will? GIFs. Lots of them.

Disney just released Disney Gif, and it’s freakin’ awesome. You install it just like you would any other keyboard (there are detailed instructions in the app), and then when you’re done, you’ll be able to pull up the Disney Gif keyboard from anywhere you type text.

But GIFs aren’t characters, so how does it work? Simple. You touch a GIF and copy it to the clipboard. Then you paste it in your text. Stupid easy — and awesome. For example, check out this series of texts I sent my wife:

You can add GIFs by mood or theme, or just flip throughthe starred options. And they don’t just have Disney — it’s also Star Wars, Disney/Pixar and even ABC. Need an example? Of course you do.

Disney Gif is free — there are in-app purchases, but only if you want animated Frozen emojis, so that call is up to you. Me? I’m just going to let that one go.
